The media’s portrayal of how women should look puts everyone into building a habit of comparing their worst parts to someone else’s show reel. Thus, causing them to criticize even their tiniest imperfections. But how do some people achieve buckets of body confidence even when they get exposed to the same kind of media that everybody sees?

Here are a few ways to help improve your body confidence.

Start Curating your Social Media Feed

One of the easiest things that you can do is to curate your social media feed. You might feel surprised by how much of a difference it can make to your self-esteem. First, unfollow all accounts that make you feel wrong about how your body looks.

Meanwhile, if you know the person and can’t seem to press the unfollow button, you’ll always have the option to hide their posts. Eliminating the factors that can only promote body negativity can help reduce the voices of your inner critic.

Once you’ve unfollowed and hidden all the accounts that make you feel bad about yourself, you can consider following those people who do the exact opposite. You’ll find a couple of excellent accounts that use their influence to promote body positivity.

Focus on what your body can achieve

Most people often focus on how their body looks instead of what it can achieve. But you need to forget what it looks like and focus your time focusing on things that it can do. Think about its strength and the speed that you have.

When you are doing your exercises, don’t focus on the calories that you’ll burn. Instead, celebrate how excellent you are at how hard you are working to make your body healthy. You should also consider doing things that will make you feel good about your body. Also, stop listing all the things that you cannot do with your body. You will realize that you’ll see your body differently after you’ve stopped doing it but in the right way. It would be best if you did the same thing when looking in the mirror, too.

Are you a loving friend, a genuine person? Or do your friends describe you as a funny bone? Read the list each day, and you will soon feel more positive about yourself.

Low body image can significantly affect a person’s well-being. Although these tips will not help you right away, it will at least help build your confidence slowly until you have gained the confidence that you’ve always had in you.
